Discover Guanacaste's Sabanero traditions, local flavors, and ancient Chorotega pottery. What to Expect (Itinerary) • 1. Driving from the Coast to Tempisque River: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by vehicle, depending on your location. • 2. River & Wildlife Boat Ride: After a restroom stop, board the boat for approximately 1 hour of exploration along the river and surrounding wetlands. We will look for crocodiles, monkeys, birds, and other wildlife while learning about the tropical dry forest. • 3. Traditional Lunch & Sabanero Culture: Enjoy approximately 1 hour for a traditional family-style lunch while learning about the history, traditions, food, and lifestyle of the Guanacaste Sabanero culture. • 4. Guaitil & Chorotega Pottery Experience: Approximately 30 minutes by vehicle to Guaitil. Visit a local family workshop and learn about the materials, techniques, and traditional craftsmanship behind these unique pieces. • 5. Return to Pickup Point: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on traffic and your final destination.
