What to Expect (Itinerary) Experience the tropical rainforest in a completely different way as daylight slowly gives way to night. Departing from Guanacaste, we travel inland toward the Bijagua region for a naturalist-guided wildlife experience. We begin our walk during daylight, looking for colorful birds, toucans, frogs, butterflies, and other rainforest wildlife. As twilight arrives, the forest transforms. New sounds and movements emerge as nocturnal insects, amphibians, reptiles, and other wildlife become active. After exploring the rainforest, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican dinner at a local restaurant before returning to the Guanacaste coast. The reserve we visit may vary depending on weather, season, wildlife activity, and availability, allowing us to choose the best conditions for the experience. This is more than a wildlife tour — it is an opportunity to experience the rainforest during one of its most fascinating moments: the transition from day to night.
